This past weekend Deep Blue Quest welcomed 5 new Open Water students and 1 Dive Master candidate to the dive centre in Paju. On Saturday we conducted the Knowledge Development portion of the course and on Sunday we went to the pool in Paju for the Confined Water Skills set.
The pool session was good fun and everybody performed the required skills without any problems. Well done Bariki, Jaco, Nicola, Eric and Jennifer!
It’s always good to see the students’ reaction after their first confined dive, to see how much they enjoyed it. We look forward to going to the ocean with you and complete your Open Water Dives, its going to be brilliant!
We would also like to welcome to our newest intern to Deep Blue Quest. She is completing her Dive Master training at DBQ so she will be helping us out at the upcoming Scuba Camp.
This weekend is the start of the Scuba Camp on the East Coast, near the city of Sokcho. If you haven’t booked your place yet, please give us a call and we will sign you up. We will be at the ocean from July 28 until August 05 so feel free to come join us anytime whether you are interested in doing a Core Course (Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue), a Specialty Course (Deep Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat Diver) or fun dives.
Due to adverse weather conditions Deep Blue Quest were forced to cancel the planned diving trip to the East Coast. The divers who were planning to go on the tour will now be able to complete their required dives at our annual Scuba Camp.
The Deep Blue Quest Scuba Camp will take place on the East Coast from July 28 to August 05. We will be offering various specialty courses including Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Deep Diving, Boat Diving and Search & Recovery, as well as Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications. If you are interested in any of these courses please let us know so that we can make the arrangements.
If you are planning to do your Open Water Certification we suggest you come down to the East Coast for 3 days, this will give you enough time to complete the knowledge development, confined water dives and open water dives. If you are interested in fun dives only then a day trip should suffice. We do however recommend you stay for more than 1 day as this allows you more time for dives and you get to experience a proper DBQ BBQ!
Please contact us if you are interested in joining us for loads of diving, sun, sea and sand.
This past weekend Deep Blue Quest hosted 3 PADI Open Water students for their knowledge development and confined water skills. On Saturday we conducted the knowledge development workshop at the PADI 5 Star dive centre in Paju, South Korea.
We also finalized an Emergency Oxygen Provider speciality as well as a Rescue Diver course.
On Sunday we headed out to Suwon for a full day of pool training. The Deep Blue Quest team consisting of Russ (Master Instructor) and the 2 interns Paul and Tony drove down from Paju to meet up with the students at the Suwon World Cup sports complex.
We kicked off the day’s training with snorkeling and free-diving exercises which was followed by the underwater skills set. We finished up the days training with a few surface skills which went really well.
Congratulations to Adin, Daniel and Elissa on completing your knowledge development and confined water skills. We at DBQ had a really good time working with you and look forward to going to the ocean to finalize your certifications.
Congratulations to Pia on completing your O2 and Rescue courses, well done!
We would like to welcome our new intern at DBQ Mr. Anthony Martinez. Thank you for all your help in and out of the water, we had loads of fun working with you and its great having you on the team.
This coming weekend (14-15 July) we will be going to Mun-Am Dive Resort for an Open Water certification tour, weather permitting! We will post updates closer to the time so keep checking in!
On the weekend of July 21-22 we will be conducting Open Water qualifications at the dive centre in Paju. We still have places available so please contact us if you are interested. We also have a Dive Master program starting on July 21.
Deep Blue Quest’s Annual Scuba Camp will take place from July 28 to August 05 on the East Coast. Please contact us for more information on what will be a week of sun, sea and sand and lots of diving!
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is for Advanced Open Water divers who want to improve as divers and as dive buddies. During the course divers learn numerous skills on self-rescue, buddy rescue and how to assist in search and recovery. The course is the most physically demanding of the non-professional levels but it is well worth it as you will most definitely become a better diver during the course. Armed with the skills learned and knowledge gained from this course divers can go out with confidence and dive stress-free.
On Saturday we conducted such a Rescue Diver course at the Suwon World Cup pool. It was a long, hard day of training but it was a lot of fun. Unluckily for Pia her training partner playing the “victim” was about twice her size and towing him around the pool while performing rescue breaths was akin to a kayak towing a cruise ship! Well done Pia you performed all your skills like a champion.
This coming weekend (7-8 July) we will be conducting Open Water and Discover Scuba courses at our dive centre in Paju.
The annual Deep Blue Quest scuba camp will take place from 28 July to 5 August on the East Coast. We will be conducting certifications (Open Water, Project Aware and certain Speciality Courses) as well as lots of fun dives so come and join us for a day or two for some awesome diving, barbeques and fun in the sun. If you plan on getting certified please register for the desired course before July 28.
