November 3-4

This past weekend was great.

Sincere apologies for lack of pictures. Russ forgot to charge the camera. D’oh!

We had a refresher course with Kenneth Hall. He did awesome! Great job, Ken! We look forward to diving with you in the future.

For anyone else interested in refreshing their skills, feel free to contact us to set that up. We’d love to help you get your feet wet again.

During the pool session, we also had divemaster training for the upcoming candidates. They practiced some of the skill exercises in the water, including gear exchange!

After we dried off and returned to the dive shop, we started the EFR Instructor course. By next weekend, they will be finished and ready as great EFR instructors.

The EFR (Emergency First Response) course is a great way to prepare yourself with the skills necessary for an emergency. And this course is open to all people–not just divers. If you’re interested in learning more, contact us today!

*****UPCOMING*****

November 10-11:Open Water Course. There’s still space and time to sign up!

November 17-18: Ocean trip with Open Water and Advanced Open Water.

December 29-January 3:Going to Okinawa to do some incredible diving, including diving with whale sharks. It’ll be an amazing experience, so make sure to inquire for more information and join us.

On the weekend of October 27-28 Deep Blue Quest took to the road to the East

Coast for a dive tour to Kyungpo Dive Resort. We conducted Wreck and Deep

Specialties as well as PADI Advanced Open Water courses.

Once again we were lucky with the weather, albeit a bit chilly. The visibility was

good, currents not too intense and the swell was bearable.

The wrecks at the dive site are old fishing vessels which were sunk on purpose

in order to create artificial reefs. The wrecks were abundant with marine live from

various species of coral to numerous fish species swimming in and out of the

portholes. Wreck diving is a truly fantastic experience and the PADI Wreck Diving

Specialty is well worth it. If you want to experience this please contact us and we will

make it happen.

The Advanced Open Water students performed their required task with ease and

completed their dives with style under the supervision of Instructor Patrick. The

Wreck and Deep Specialty dives were led by Instructor Russ and went down

smoothly.

Great job, guys!

As usual Saturdays diving was followed by a barbeque prepared by DBQ staff and

good fun was had by all. Sunday morning saw the students completing the last of

their required dives and once again they performed really well.

Congratulations to all the students on your various qualifications, we at Deep Blue

Quest enjoyed diving with you and look forward to doing so in the near future.

Congratulations to Patrick Smith on logging his 200th dive as well as his 100th

certification.
